for the most part as long as there is no law against flying RC aircraft there is no licesne needed to shoot areial photography from and RC helicopter. anything from a .30 size (aprox 40-50in rotor span) or larger can carry a decent camera and keep it stable. while being easy enough to see from the ground. i've been flying RC airplanes and helis for about 4 years now, and i've done a little areial photography with both airplanes and helis. they can be very expensive though 3k+ for some
