Lets look at some "butterflies" and other insects

Here's a couple photos of a "bee" of some kind I took today (July 14)......look closely at the second photo and see if you can determine what's around its head....looks like a scarf draped around it's neck.....and, look at the front legs in the first photo......insects are supposed to have six legs....

Bumblebees and others feeding on a flower we have potted on the deck......I even caught some of them "flying".....notice the "pollin" on the legs of the smaller one...

I got a picture of a little bee this weekend too.

This dragonfly would NOT let go of my tire. It finally gave up after about a hundred yards when I could get above 10 kph.

I've had wasps and bees and even a 17-year cicada ride along with me in my car, but never before has a butterfly hitched a ride! I believe this is some kind of swallowtail.
