Mason County, Michigan

If you have never been to Michigan the first image that pops into mind is usually of Detroit or an industrial image in general. There is actually very little of that throughout the State and these are a bit more representative of the State overall. All these images were taken in Mason County, Michigan.

Emerson Lake

Country road

Pere Marquette River

Sunset over Lake Michigan

Lighthouses (more than any other State)

Farmland. Lots of farms and orchards.

Small lakes and Fall color

And lastly, This is what I personally feel represents life in Michigan as a kid. Warm summer days spent swimming in Lake Michigan until sunset, and watching the day fading away, knowing there is going to be another one just like it the next day and you can hardly wait for it to get here.

This truly sums up the rural sections of Michigan (well, except the snow)!
