What I miss about Pittsburgh (and area)

I've always liked the 'light' (color not calories) or Helles in Munich.
They have a "light" at the HbH in pittsburgh, but that is much lighter in flavor than the original. I go for the lager, by the liter.

pittsburghs nightlife was unimpressive to me.
south side was nothing special.
primanni bros was ok.
my favorite places were the dive bars.
the bartenders were so good at their job, you didnt even need to talk.
beer glass on the ledge - refill
beer glass off the coaster - im done
money perpendicular to the ledge - "this is my beer money, take from here"
money parallel to the ledge - "im done, cash me out"

or at least thats how it was back in 2000. i remember books bar, down the street from PTI in that old mining town. i was so pissed off when he redid the bar and raised the prices from 75 cents to a dollar.

Yes, the Church Brew Works is still there. It's pretty great!

Haven't been there since college . .. glad to hear it's still there. Always liked that place. Oh and Primanti's just "ok" ... Since when did Fidel Castro learn to use the internet

From Western PA and living in DC.

I miss living in a place where sports fans aren't transients. These "fly-by-night" fans in DC suck...talk smack when they are winning but do nothing but whine when their teams are losing (especially when they lose to Pittsburgh)

Let's see...what else do I miss?

- Chipped Ham
- Good peiroges & kielbassa
- Seeing Steelers jerseys wherever you go
- Real neighborhood bars
- Family
- Real snow
- Pot holes...did I say pot holes...oops...I meant seeing PENNDOT filling pot holes (almost as rare as Punx Phil seeing his shadow)
