Want to see what the favorites are so I can stop by next time I'm in portland.

I'd definitely visit Widmer - they have one of the most impressive brewhouses, and the taps in their Gasthaus are really worth a visit. Their best beer never leaves the building!

Cascade Barrel House is doing some really interesting stuff with sour/Belgian styles, including a beer/wine hybrid that surprised me with how good it was.

Baileys Tap Room is a cool place to go and so is Henrys on 12th. Neither are breweries but they're cool.

I second the Widmer, they have good food too.

Also there's a joint called Columbia Brewing Company. A good micro it's over on 40th and Sandy.

If you make it out to Hillsboro, stop by Ambacht Brewing at 1055 NE 25th Ave, Suite N. We make Belgian-inspired ales.

astorias a drive, but worth it

astoria is a bit of a drive but get a hotel room and try... the wet dog, rogue public house, fort gorge and the mcmenamins*(SP) sand trap. while youre here grab some fresh oysters and have a couple shooters too!!
