Don't try to use your Grand Cherokee as a boat, they may SINK before you get to the water!!

RiponredTJ 01-03-2012 07:25 PM

HiHood 01-03-2012 08:32 PM

no cars should not go in the water like that, either use a ferry boat or use big inner tubes that are made for big stuff like cars..etc

I'd say shovel, I don't think that would do any good though.

Did he get out?

Not before we left, they were still working on it. Another 4X backed up and sling onto him and ended up snapping it, denting the back tailgate. My truck's a 2wd with open diff . . . no way.

I can tell you a little secret I've learned the hard way about "wheelin" though. When you trade in a 4wd with lockers for a 2wd with open diff, don't be expecting to be able to go to the same places.:scary:

We don't have that kind of terrain here, but if we did I'd walk it before taking my vehicle there. Just to get a feel for the lay of the land, eh?

Thetimotin 01-04-2012 05:57 PM

I've never even taken my Jeep wheeling (I know I'm bad people! I just can't afford tires good enough to get me out of the parking lot yet.) and I'm not even that foolish! I agree with Riponred. When I've gone out with friends we always walk through sketchy areas before just driving in.
