I grew up in California but lived on the coast of Texas for 2 years. They are so proud of there beaches but they just don't compare to Cali

I've found the Texas Coast to be kind of mucky, especially Galveston.

I grew up in SoCal and lived in TX for a few years after. The only thing better about TX is that the water is warm. Otherwise....I better stop there.;)

Beaches are beaches. I've seen beautiful ones in Oregon, Alaska, and California. East Coast doesn't seem to have such nice ones though.
CA has the weather, TX has the politics. I would love to live in Texas.
