Where are your favorite camping spots.

I am looking to go camping for a weekend before it gets too cold, or get some new places to check out for next year. I mostly go up around the Rimrock area now, but would like to try something else.

I like Colonial Creek Campground off HWY20. It's a car campground but it's beautiful and has some real nice hiking trails and if you have a kayak or a canoe it's a real nice campsite.

I loved camping on Baker Lake as a kid. We use to go with a group of families and take the wake board and water ski all day.

My parents own in a private camp ground right next to Rasar State park near Concrete up Hwy 20. Always a nice place near some great hiking.

For day camping I would check out Lake Serene just off highway 2 mile marker #35 (close to the town of Index and in the shadow of Mt Index) Don't know about extended camping though.

There are campgrounds near there, but it's only day camping AFAIK. There is a campground on Reiter road (don't stay at Reiter Trails. It's currently closed and trespassers get up to $5,000 fine)
