silbotta 08-26-2010 10:07 PM

Funetical 08-27-2010 09:21 AM

Funny, I'm arguing how I need a machine gun on another forum.

Guns are cool.

When Remington introduced them in the 70's, they were the latest technology for multiple shots and point and shoot hunting which is needed for successful bird hunting. I had great scores while skeet shooting with that gun until I upgraded to a Browning Citori. That is when my shooting went downhill!

Austin 08-30-2010 01:33 PM

JCG what makes are the lever actions? My grandparents used to deal in Rossi, and I have a beautiful .44 that I love more than anyhting else I own.

JCJ 08-30-2010 01:51 PM

Winchester Commemoratives, all 30:30. NRA, Wells Fargo, Texas and Legendary Lawmen. NIB, never fired, had them out for a weekend in the rack and boxed them up after I took the crappy photos.

Funetical 08-30-2010 03:38 PM

You got a permit for that suppresor? Kidding I don't care, but really do you? Was it a hassle to get it, if you did in fact get it?

No permit but you do get a tax stamp for a $200 check made payable to the BATF along with required paperwork and fingerprint cards and about a 5 month wait.. Unfortunately NY state doesn't allow anything fun so it sits in a bank safe deposit box in Indiana..

Otahyoni 08-30-2010 06:17 PM

I'd be happy to pick it up for you. ;)

I kid, I kid...

I should have done it on a trust, would have made life a lot easier,, then I could have left it with my buddy (who would be named on the trust) so he could be using it..

jeepcache 08-31-2010 07:09 AM

Well that sucks. I take it Indiana is more lenient?

rishar1 09-01-2010 08:15 AM

No pics but I have a Norinco SKS with composite stock, 30 rd mags and a 4-9 scope. Also a mossberg 500 shot gun and my newest aquisition a hi point .45. Don't give me crap over the hi point it was 50 bucks and had only been fired once.

Jake7 09-01-2010 10:48 PM

Taurus .40 24/7 Tactical

Knew I was coming to Hawaii where they make buying a gun seem like a felony in itself, so I went ahead and bought it at my last post in Texas right before I came :)

Anyone here into Firearms? Post up what you like to shoot.

Jake7 09-20-2010 05:21 PM

Of course, I bet we all are! I'm in the Corps, so of course my trusty M16A4.

As far as pistols go, I enjoy my Taurus 24/7 .40 Tactical

JCJ 09-20-2010 05:46 PM

I'm an AR and 1911 guy, but I just moved to a gun grabbing communist state so I can't have so much fun anymore..

Since the chosen one took office I have been concentrating on rimfire for cost and availability reasons..

Scott 09-20-2010 05:48 PM

Been known to do that. Currently working on shooting my .308 more respectfully!!

Jake7 09-20-2010 05:49 PM

Texas Trooper: Do you know why I pulled you over sir?

Me: I was speeding?

Texas Trooper: Yeah you were goin a few over. Just going to give you a verbal warning.

Me: Why thank you sir - oh, just so you know, I do have a weapon in the truck.

Texas Trooper: Yeah........so......?

Me: Nevermind. Thank you sir.

Move to Texas! It's the gun-lover's paradise! I was only stationed there fora few months, but man do I miss it already!

jeepcache 09-20-2010 05:51 PM

My not so new, new toy. I got rid of all of mine when my son was born. But once he turned 10 I figured it's time to get another one.

Taurus Millennium pro 9mm
Man, haven't shot it in a while. Looks like I need to clean it.

I do, just lazy.. I also am not into paying out the wazoo for primers and such..

78BO 09-21-2010 06:19 AM

Thanks, I like it. It's not too small. I can carry it and not feel like I have a thorn in my back yet at the same time it's more than big enough to do the job if needed. I know it's a personal choice, but I can't see why anyone would carry anything bigger then a 9mm. The last appartment I lived at had a drive by. The guy shot at the appartment on the other side of mine with a 22 long riffle. It went through his metal door, the divider wall, my window and into the building behind us. Almost hit me in the chest. Just imagine what a 45. cal would do. Now this was a cheap appartment, but if someone tries to enter your house and you shot an miss the likely hood of your fence or the neighbors wall stopping that bullet very slim. So anyways, that's why I got the 9mm. The next weapon will be a shotgun, somthing like this.
