whats everyone do for a living?
just as the title says, what do you do for a living?

me? well i am a facilities maintenance Technician. which translated into an industrial jack of all trade. work in a large manufacturing plant and anything that is not covered by a certain departments mechanics means i get to do it, including most of the electrical work. but do anything from the lack-luster janitorial type jobs of unclogging toilets and changing light bulbs to much more interesting things such as metal fabrication, welding, light engineering design projects and some control wiring as well.

Currently a dishwasher at a local restaurant saving up cash for a new jeep so I can go back to school to finish my Auto Tech AAS.

Worked construction for about a year before that as a carpenter. Did CBBs (McCafe) remodels in a ton of McDonalds all over the state throughout 09. Did about one a week for the better part of 9 months or so. Most insane **** I've ever done, it's essentially 12-18 hours a night of 20+ people crammed into a McDonalds drive through for 5 nights trying to get the place remodeled and you have to have it ready to open for business again in the morning.

Prior to that I worked at Lowe's for 2 years, mostly in delivery and lumber or unloading freight.

I'm a utilities specialist at the Port, pay all the utility bills and bill the tenants.
Fun to work down on the waterfront and be around fishing boats and cruise ships.

Also have a home business doing some signs but mostly laser engraving and cutting.

Retired race mechanic, 20 stinking years.. Most recently Indycar but I've been all over the industry...

Not sure how much longer I can stand staying retired, toying with the idea of teaching at a tech school but openings are slim unless I create my own program (and funding)
