What is the name of the area that is part of the continental US (lower 48) that is surrounded on 3 sides by water but not physically attached to any state? Name the area and what state it belongs to.

Nope. Actually I think I posted this in the wrong thread so this is a double post. I'll answer both threads. I gave an additional clue in the other thread. It is not an island and is attached to the N. American continent.
