Metrodome Roof Collapses
 

In case you're one of the very few who has not yet seen the video:

Saw that this morning. Crazy! I can't believe it was not engineered to withstand that though?

Considering that it was the fourth time the roof collapsed, you'd think they would've learned some lessons by now...

The real question now is, should they actually put the money into repairing the roof considering the Vikings are claiming they are done with the dome after next year? What else is the Dome used for now besides some college games during tournaments? Ziggy wants an open stadium, why not try to modify it some way and renovate the dome a bit at the same time (if this is even possible).

Modify it...I think Mother Nature took care of that for them.

It would be cheaper to put some other type of roof on the Metrodome than to build a new stadium and upgrade the inside. The idea of an outside stadium here in Minnesota playing in November,December, and January is just plain nuts. We had an outdoor stadium out in Bloomington and they found out that an outdoor stadium doesn't work in this state... Look at the past 3 weeks for example, bad weather in first 2 and now rescheduled Monday night to Tuesday night and that is in Philadelphia for Pete's sake.....

Yeah, outdoor stadium in MN is a bad bad idea.
