Sushi blues has great sushi in downtown, but the service sucks every single time. They act like they don't care if you give them business or not.
They have a half priced sushi deal almost every night of the week.

My fav place for sushi in this area is Asuka in Morrisville. I've tried just about every place around here and Asuka is always my go to place. They have BOGO all day as well so that makes it even better.

I agree. The service is great. There are two women who have been working there since I started going 3 years ago, who know my name and offer me tea and mints while i wait for my food. They are nice even if I am tipping someone else. Best sushi in Raleigh, Great servers too.

Wow, what an old thread...
.
I'd offer a new one - Sushi Nine on Western Blvd. in Raleigh. Sister restaurant to several of the other top spots, with BOGO every day, great atmosphere (once you're inside), great service (took a bit, but great now), and sushi that can go up against the best anywhere.
.
Other food types as well, it's a bit of a combination of several other places. Has become a routine lunch stop during the week.
