Is the tour you refer to their beer class? was checking the website and saw no mention of tour.

I've got a saucer on the wall. Agreed it's not a brewery, but it's a good place to try different beer styles.

Beer in Downtown Raleigh

The Busy Bee Cafe is another good location in downtown Raleigh (S. Wilimington St.) for some special beers. The food is also quite good.

Ill second the kudos for Roth and Big Boss. I want to visit Cherry Bomb as I have heard good things and they seem to have a good list of NC breweries on the beer list.
