Beach

The beach. Carolina beach is the best. You dont have to leave for anything once you get there. Everything can be delivered to you. Just this year the brew thru can deliver beer and what ever else you want. That blew my mind. Okracoke would be my second choice. I heard that they opened 3 more beaches this year for vehical use but I didn't hear where.

During the summer, we do the Kabins at KOA.
Too hot not to have A/C! There's a nice KOA
down in New Bern. They have a dock you can
fish from on the river, and a catch and release
pond over by the pool.

Cape Lookout: Take your Jeep across on the ferry, camp right on the beach and catch some nice fish.

The beach is fun but nothing beats the Great Smoky Mountains. Especially if you like the back country. 900 miles of hiking trails!

Uwharrie National Park is a great place to camp. I have been there several times and its always more fun if you bring along a jeep!

Falls lake will always be my favorite.
Have tons of history there. About 5 different boats, 40+ camping trips,20 fishing trips, friends and even went there for a romantic tent camp in september with my first love(but thats another story).

It may not be much and certainly doesnt have the wildness of carolina beach or some of the other lakes but Falls will always be my favorite to camp at.

I'm all for Pisgah National Forest myself. Nothing like some mountainous trails and good wholesome scenery.
