Neighborhood schools! I don't need my kid getting shipped off 30 miles for diversity. Keep it close to home.

I have to agree with neighborhood schools. It doesn't make sense to bus kids all over the county in the name of diversity, not to mention a lot of people buy houses based on the schools in their area.

Neighborhood schools. I live in a community right behind a school. There are whites, blacks, hispanics, asians. Very diverse, middle class. They bus my neighbors daughter 25 miles across the county in the name of diversity and she already has it right here. If they are worried about poor neighborhoods we can easily find tons of money to give extra to those neighborhoods with the money we save in fuel and salaries to deal with this nightmare! It is not the 60's anymore, i don't care about your color, i care about getting kids educated. Give troubled youth extra money in their own communities if they need it but lets have some pride in our neighborhoods, build up the bad ones with extra attention till they perform at the right level. We will still save money and get better outcomes.
