How much has your house value plummeted with the recession

My wife and I bought our house at the peak of the housing boom. July 2006. We often regret it because as much as we pay it seems we just barely keep our value above our mortgage. We have lost our down payment and I don't think we will ever get it back. If prices fall much more I may just lose my mind.

$190,000 in 1993, $674,000 in 2007, now about $530,000 after a slight increase of 2% in 2010.

I bought mine in 1999. Less than 100,000 for the ground and hse together. Don't know what it's valued at now, I paid cash for the hse and 5 yrs on the ground.
I ain't moving, this is it. I own it, not loan it.

The island of Montreal is a pretty safe market.

We bought our current house on the western part of the island for 135K thirteen years ago and it was recently evaluated at 315K by my bank.

I back onto one of the few protected wetlands/forest areas on the island and people keep knocking on my door trying to buy my place for a song.

Hahahaha.

Don't worry about them. They are just your neighbors trying to get rid of you to increase the property values!
