I got off work earlier than normal.
I get home, no Wife, no Kid, I call. "We're out getting Christmas stuff." she says. I think to myself,
"Sweet, Christmas stuff." but then the dreaded change in tone,
"We're going to be out most of the day, since you're home, can you go ahead and clean the bathtubs?". Arghh, now what, this isn't like in person where I can just say, "what", and then continue on with whatever I was doing. This is the phone the entire point of the thing is to listen. I feel trapped. I pause, long enough for her to argue with silence, "Don't say what, you promised you'd do it.". Dang, when did I promise this? Think. Think. Ah nothing, but I can't tell her I don't remember, or even call her out on it thinking she was bluffing, if I did promise, forgetting that promise is substantially worse than taking back the promise I may or may not have made. Silence. "OK, love you thanks, got to go, I'm in line." click.
I'm scrubbing bathtubs now.
Anyone else have the Honey-Do issue, and what do you have to do?
Ladies, what are you making you husband do when he gets home? If it's scrubbing bathtubs, don't make him, it's terrible.
and I know...
