single for the first time in ~20 years; any advice?

You'll meet someone, just don't rush into anything. The ratio here is a little skewed so it may seem tough but you'll eventually find someone nice.

Go there on a nice summer day and see how many hot girls are running around the park. Hundreds. Hundreds!!!1!!

Try finding some new friends on a site like Meetup.com or similar site and when you find people that like the same things as you, some of those may even be single. My neighbors met each other that way and are now married and have a new daughter. All this right here in the Colorado metro area.

Best advice I can give after several years of the single life (and ten years of hell prior to that). Just get out and have fun in whatever social circle you're comfortable with. You'll find that someone at some point, and there won't be all the pretentiousness associated with singles sites.

That's what I did, and ended up with a gal that I went to high school with...we never really talked in high school but hit it off right from the start when we met again last year.
