For the record, I will not tolerate comparing the staff or any other member to a Nazi.

I can. This is Dorph creating an account to troll the board and compare us to Nazis. The account has been permabanned.

To me, there is not much that is worse than a book burning.

Speaking on a personal level, I think that if a particular thought process or belief system rings the tone of truth to your inner self, contentment should be the natural consequence. I never push my view on others and I try very hard to respect that which is not part of my philosophy.

But then again, I'm a boisterous heathen

How come there's no religious humor thread here yet

I get your point, book burnings, have all the earmarks of a culture being controlled! But, I think the redefining of "truth" that relegates it to a relative understanding is more destructive than any book burning.

As for the religious humor....don't get me started. I tell my bride all the time what a funny guy Jesus is. Just look around and see what He does in some peoples live and how He does it. You'd roll if you heard my story!

I understand what you are saying, and agree to a certain extent. But I bet the Druids (for example) felt exactly the same way.

As for the humor, yup, most Gods seem to be very capricious at times
