Providence, RI Vacation

Hey all, my Fiance and I go on a trip every year for the past couple years and so far we have been to Sunset Beach, NC and Cape Cod. The woman would like to go to Providence, I have heard good and bad, is it a nice vacation spot?

waterfires is awsome. food is great, lots of local bands and clubs. see if some event is going on before you come, most are cheap and usualy pretty entertaining

Definitely take advantage of waterfire - WaterFire. You also have many options if you want to go outside of Prov.

Providence is a great town.

Lots of history.

Close to South County Beaches

I would also add a night or two on Block Island

I travel all over. Providence is one of my favorite cities. Look in to Hotel Providence.

Check out Newport as well, it's very popular with tourists. 30,000 people live there, but over 1 million visit during the summer months, so that should say it all...
