who brews the best? Trinity, Union Station or Coddington???

Well; what do you think? I feel that Union Station takes first place.

They are all pretty good but Trinity's RI IPA is one of the best IPA's out there.

I also agree. I like both but it seems lately that Trinity's beer all tastes the same.

I am a Coddington's Fan. Good solid, consistent beers.

I've had beers at Trinity that have been all over the place. Some even hinting at infections.

Been a while since I have been there though.

Union Station is mediocre. They may have an actual brewer by now instead of one of the bar tenders tying to follow the recipe. I haven't been in over a year.
Trinity is spotty at best. Something is almost always off with their beers.

Common comments about both from everyone at the home brew shop. The mention of Trinity brings rolling eyes, shaking of heads, and a few mutterings of "oh, god".

Never been to Coddington's. Where are they located?

Coddington's is in Newport. Worth a stop if you are down this way and looking for a beer.

I'm a member of the German American Cultural Society and the mention of Trinity infuriates the old Germans! One of them lives off of the royalties of his families brewery so I'm assuming he knows what he is talking about. Beer is right about trinity; they ARE always off on something. The Rhode Island sheep love it though!

It's the BeerAdvocate mentality. Idiots wouldn't know good beer if you hit them in the head with a growler of it.
