I miss my . . .

1965 Ducati Diana!! sniff! sniff!

Took the lever off the gas cap though! B^)

Do some mountain biking - Deep Run Park is great for trails - just watch out for the "geriatric obstacle course" on the walking paths - they are a definite hazard!

Here's information about "bike" paths in the Williamsburg, Virginia area....there is also a designated, paved, bike path traveling West along Route 5 from Williamsburg toward Richmond and can be seen from the highway....it will be on the South side of the Highway.

Here's another site that shows The Commonwealth of Virginia's interest in "bicycling" for your information

there are certain areas around richmond that feel safe enough to "share the road." but drivers are careless around road bikers and don't understand what moves a road biker is likely to make while avoiding obstacles in the road.

also, bikers need to follow the traffic laws like drivers do. road bikers are constantly running red lights and stop signs.

2015

Has anyone heard about Richmond bidding on the 2015 UCI Road World Championships? This would be great for the local economy & to promote cycling in the area.
Please help support if we get it.

do you bike?

I ride my bike to the store, to my kids school and they ride too. My son goes to High School everyday and once a week we stop in at the local coffee shop Lamplighter. They are all into bikes there as the Lamplighter is a tall bike that was used at the turn of the 20th century to light lamps.
If I am in the city I feel very safe, but If I go on my road ride out east it can get hairy. I also cant wait for the cap 2 cap trail to be complete
