Well partner, when when I have a hankerin' fer BBQ, I mosey on out to Lucille's in Rocklin. The best pulled pork sandwiches West of KC. I know it's a ways from Davis, But on Saturday nights they have live Blues.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned Flaming Grill Caf? yet. My favorite burger place in Sacramento. They have a large selection of exotic burgers, delicious sirloin and Angus burgers and terrific service. Everyone I take there is impressed.

Manderes is amazing. You first go there for the beer, but stay for the food! Good call.

Thank's for the rec I'll have to get to it. I believe there is a finite time where one can survive without bbq, then if time runs out... you die.

My favorite upscale restaurant is Moxie's at 2028 H Street Sacramento. They don't have a website but check out Moxie : DiningGuide Restaurant Profile of Moxie in Sacramento California

For a neighborhood pizzeria my favorite is Paesanos; Paesanos.biz

Another usual hangout is Bandera at 2232 Fair Oaks Blvd Sacramento; Bandera

For the best Middle Eastern food one must try Maalouf's Taste of Lebanon at 1433 Fulton Ave Sacramenot. www.maaloufs.com

Squeeze Inn, a classic burger place made famous on food network for their "cheese curtain"

Very cool place, good food, but there is usually a big line!
