IMHO there is a real lack of good Indian and German food.

lack of good indian? man, try sarovar, for starters.

this city has USAA, the number one hirer of H-1B visa indians. obviously, a few of them eventually become citizens and open up restaurants. in my personal opinion, san antonio has great indian cuisine.

A lot of thai places offer curries if you're ever trying to find good curry.

Cajun. Please don't even mention Acadiana Cafe, because I'll puke. I got a "sampler" plate there once. It had 4 items on it, and I couldn't hardly tell one from the other.

Pappadeaux's is AWESOME... but I can't afford a $100 bill every time I take my family out for Cajun food.

Bernard's Creole Kitchen has some good ol' fashion "home style" Cajun food, but it's pretty small and kind of "out of the way" for me. I wish Bernard would open up a bigger restaurant in a more populated area, as he prides himself on what he does and I think he would excel at it.

Other than that... I just haven't found any good Cajun restaurants.

All the best,
Glenn
