Winter in San Diego

As a native San Diegan, I feel the need to state that I am glad to have the city back from the summer tourists.

Anyone else share these feelings?

No more Arizona license plates! honestly though, the tourists never really bothered me. I guess that's because I stay out of downtown, coronado, and PB. I do love out 'winters' though. just bought a brand new set of performance summer tires...

Sweet Jesus... Don't get me started on the Zonies...

I live in Ocean Beach and it seems that the Zonies with no sense of direction just take the 8 West until they crash into something... I don't see how someone could get lost in OB... the streets are a grid system, if you miss your turn, TAKE THE NEXT ONE!!! Don't slam on your brakes and try to drive in reverse down sunset cliffs...

Winter is the coldest season of the year, even in San Diego.

The recent cold spell has been fun. There was some serious frost this morning too. In the past when there's been frost, it would always be wiped away with the first sweep of the windshield wipers. This morning the entire windshield was frozen solid and I had to use the defroster to warm it up to remove the ice.

Definately love the winters. Only time we actualy get some semblance of rainfall.
As for the out of staters? Do not notice it too much. Our freeways are always crowded and full of bad drivers, and I avoid downtown as much as possible anyway.
