Best Mexican food in San Marcos

Who are you liking at the moment. My place changed some things up and I need to find a new one.

For lunch/dinner, nothing beats Herberts. For breakfast, Los Vega. We also tried a place called Nopalito's a while back and it was pretty decent.

I like Napolitos. They do a puffy taco that is excellent.

Los Vega got bought out not to long ago and it seems there's a drop in quality.

It has seemed a little off lately. Have you ever tried J&L?

Off of MLK. If you were to head south on Guadalupe coming from the square, you would take a right on MLK (light where Centurylink is) and it is maybe a mile down on your left.

Edit: I'm pretty sure they close at 2, at least on Saturdays.

Tres Hermanas over the weekend was decent, but compared to a lot of places around me I can't justify the expense.

I ate there right after they opened. Like you said, it was decent but nothing to brag about.

You know , If they would close down all the mexican food places in San Marcos it would be easier to lose some weight... yeah but then we would all have to go to a 12 step program for withdrawals !! LOL!
