texmex

jeez louise, has no one ever been to Rogelio's? They have mole sauce. the owner makes it fresh upon ordering, then he comes out and asks you how everything is. try the flautas de pollo con mole and come back to the board here and tell us of your experiences. Also, anybody ever hear of Taqueria Mazatlan on I-35s ? Better be able to at least hack out some espanol unless you want to just point to the menu. they have nopalitas and lengue on the breakfast buffet. it doesnt get any more authentico than this even in Ol' me-hee-ko. SMTX is a texmex paradise. Many places serve Jarrito's Tamarindo soda! . what about the fajita wagon on i35 s by the DQ? Also , Hacienda Gonzalez on 123 has great atmosphere and the salsa always seems like its made fresh. Menu is broad and authentic. portions are big, good and reasonably priced. (I think theyre remodeling right now though)

Best mexican food in town

The best mexican food in town is Chica's on West San Antonio street across from Gold Crown Billiards. They are only open early morning until, I think, 2:00 p.m. Helen will learn your name once you have been there a couple of times. They have the best tortillas and their Chiliquilas plate is awesome. I am only upset that I just found them and I am graduating this December. But I have been going there for about 5months now.
