Which is the best river to float?

I haven't had the time to test all the waters, what do you locals say?

Comal is my favorite in the very immediate area. However the Frio is my favorite by far.

I tried the Comal the other day, I flipped on a rapid but other than that I had a blast. We are looking for one to float on Labor day, might try to the San Marcos River that goes through campus?

Good luck floating on labor day. The river is going to be so congested with floaters, It kinda takes the relaxation out of tubing.
Frio is the most pristine and clear river for tubing. The scenery is breathtaking, but its a good 3 hour drive out west.
Guadalupe is not bad, more space than the san marcos and it isn't as cold. You gotta drink a lot of beer on the san marcos river to keep warm.

I actually ended up going to Dons. Surprisingly, it wasn't too bad on Labor day.The weather wasn't ideal, but it eventually lightened up and it definitely helped eliminate a lot of the traffic.

It's the San Marcos river, people call it Dons I guess because of the Don's Fish Camp.

The San Marcos River flows through and alongside some Texas State University property, most notably, Sewell Park.

The "scenery" at Sewell Park is quite nice. The river is up quite nicely after all the rain.
