This part of Texas is too damn political

This part of Texas is definatly over indulgent in thier view of local politics. I guess it has its place. We are near the capital... but I am not used to it all just yet. I would call it a culture shock for sure. Just going to the tabacco shop on the square fills me with political trepidation.

Heh,

It also helps that we have an institution of higher learning, and like you said 30 minutes from the heart of texas. 'Where are you from? texas?

I'm from Dallas, the most political action you see up there comes from the Dallas Independant School district. Parents killing parents ect. But every thing down here is political. and unfortunatly I find that college campuses just add to the stupid voter pool. Not really alot of education, just kids with beards trying to prove they have power in this world....(whew)

Politics shmolitics

It is tiring, I know. Some things may be worth the involvement, others may be worth the avoidance - that's the cool thing about it all...you decide if you participate. I choose few things to get in a twist over, yet there are those causes and concerns that'll get me writing letters to my Rep.

Basically, I hear ya.

dumb college kids

you know it's sad, when I worked for the pizza hut on the drag, the customers most likely to screw up and put(no kidding) their balance of the card as the tip--were college kids.

e.g

total--19.78
tip-- 342.58
balance 342.58

Wut, that's weird parrot.. so they put their remaining balance of their credit card for the tip?

I don't see how they can make that connection...

I've never heard of that expression, so i googled it and came up w/ this

[quote]* A fierce gust of wind blew 45-year-old Vittorio Luise's car into a
river near Naples, Italy, in 1983. He managed to break a window,
climb out and swim to shore -- where a tree blew over and killed him.
