You can also google rental licensing and see what you come up with ! This is not an idea created by San Marcos. It is done all over the country!!

If it had been the three realtors or the three homeowners, it would look like they were protesting, or trying to sabotage things, or feeling like they weren't really going to be heard.

It was someone from each group, which (IMO) points to a poorly managed process from day one. I can't seem to find fault with anyone other than the mayor and city council.

The proposal sounds like it was designed to be so overreaching that it wouldn't pass. That pretty much sounds like the mayor. She has been the one trying to capitalize on the "rift" between students and permanent residents.
