Teachers allowed to carry guns to school?

:lol: I think is retarded, they're currently debating it if teachers should be allowed to have hand guns at school, on premise. They think of it as a deterrant. But i just think it's ironic that was outlawed corperal punishment in classrooms, yet we're gonna allow teachers to carry guns...

I heard about that today too. Looks like the world is gonna change. I say it shouldnt be a big deal... except that in some case the priciple doesn't know which teachers have guns. That is a problem... I thiunk there should be a log. just in case some dumbass kid finds one that bel0ongs to faculty. They should also have trigger locks and have only one bullet in the chamber..... or they could just not have the gun.... heh

They need some kind of log to keep track of the guns, because otherwise what if you haev this teacher who is just so pissed, decides to bring their own unauthorized gun to school, and uses it to threat and shoots someone. Not only that.. the students may feel...well if my teacher brings a gun hell i want to bring one too...if she got a gun...how do i know he,him,her,she doesn't have a gun.

Seems to me it kinda undermines the whole "teaching" element if the folks who are responsible for being role models are toting 9mm to school and wearing shoulder holsters while instructing a classroom full of kids how to observe the miricle of biology.

If schools are so dangerous that teachers need guns to feel safer, then how are the kids supposed to feel in the same enviroment and NOT be allowed to carry guns.

I say you just install metal detectors at the doors, and make the entrances to schools just like airport bagcheck.....oh yeah, and then maybe post armed gaurds in each classroom.

...only after implanting micro identification chips in each teaher's arm that monitors stress and location in school.

I think every next step to make folks feel safer ends up making someone else feel much less safe - ergo...it ain't gonna end.
