I'm with you about Vinnie's. Great pizza but be aware, there can be a wait during busy times and it's cash only. Very limited craft beer selection (usually has at least Moon River on tap).

A new place just opened down the street called Your Pie. Good pizza and great beer selection. It is a franchise though but not a real "chain" feel.

My girlfriend took me to Bella's for my birthday for the first time and I had their tortilini, it was incredible. I was stuffed after words, but it was amazing!!

I just had mellow mushroom for the first time Sunday. Extremely delicious pizza. Some of the best I've had. Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza; very meaty and covered in buffalo sauce

The King and I is fantastic for Thai.
Vinnie's is best for good 'ol greasy pizza, though it borders on touristy with its location.
York Street Deli for meat and three.
Zunzi's for takeout.

Screamin' Mimi's is pretty good for pizza, too.

I think Firefly Cafe is a chain, but it certainly doesn't feel like it.

Tangerine is owned by the same people that run King and I, and is very good as well. Bit pricier though.

The menu has many selections, and you should never have to leave hungry.
X2, I took my parents there when they visited while I was stationed at Ft Stewart. Great place.

Best food in Savannah area is the Sunday Cafe on Tybee. Yeah, it isn't in Savannah but at the beach and their food is great. The name says Sunday but they are never open on Sunday and they will be closing for a couple weeks in January for the annual cruise. Check their website for times but you won't be disappointed for the food.
