snow in Seattle/Tacoma area?

i was just wondering if it snowed every winter in that area? i'm obviously not talking about the mountains, but the area where most people live and work west of the mountain range.

looking at the weather daily it looks like Seattle is almost 10 degrees warmer than Spokane. looking to move near Spokane, but it seems western WA has more things i enjoy.

I took this this morning when it was 1/2" or so. We ended up with 2" before it stopped,starting to melt now. We're at 600+ feet in Sammamish. Roads are nasty off the main arterials.
