Sacco's Bowl Haven has really gotten interesting with the addition of Flatbreads. They've got a great beer selection for a bowling alley, and the pizza is pretty good if you can get past the mind-numbing descriptions (organic this, free range that, etc). Too bad it's candlepin

Dave's Fresh Pasta is a great place to stop by for free samples of cheeses, sauces, oils, breads and other local and international delicacies. Great organic and hard to find heirloom produce in the summer.

Red Bones is a fun family BBQ place with a killer beer selection downstairs.

I miss McIntire and Moore Books. The Foundry restaurant that has taken its place is over priced and greasy, although it attempts to be haute cuisine.

...downstairs, and up! All the beers available in the restaurant and bars, and there are frequent "keg parties" during the winter months with free bbq and unusual kegs from all over. Well worth a visit.

You mean: terrible just to browse. Leaving empty-handed from DW&S is nothing but a shame!

I love Davis square! I have only been there once, but still, I can just tell I like it more than Harvard Square, Inman, Square, etc.
