There's Hunter Gatherer on Main St in Columbia about 2 blocks from the State House grounds. Haven't eaten there, but have had a few growlers of their brew. Pretty good stuff. Had an excellent ESB, and a top notch stout. Alot of the food is exotic stuff like antelope, buffalo, gator, etc.....

I also believe Liberty Tap Room on Gervais serves beer they brew in Myrtle Beach.

Only a few breweries in SC, and only one or two Brewpubs.

Brewpubs -
-Blue Ridge Brewing Co - Greenville
-Southend Brewery - charleston (not great beer or food IMO)

Breweries-
-Thomas Creek - Greenville
-RJ Rockers - Spartanburg
-Coast - Charleston
-

Charleston has a lot of beer bars. Also, check out the Charleston Beer Exchange. Its a great little beer store that sells all kinds of beer and has about 6 taps for growler fills.

Homebrewer here as well. Pendleton, SC

To add to the Thomas Creek love, besides the great beer they are a fantastic resource to homebrewers. I get almost all of my homebrewing ingredients from them and they never hesitate to take time from actual brewing to help a guy who only wants a bag of 2-row and a few pounds of specialty grain, always feel welcome there.

Looking to start a home brew club here in florence... good info on Thomas Creek. Would love to do trips with this club... visit local and semi local breweries & brew pubs. I just had the Thomas Creek "bottle tree BOLNDE" wow! loved it! Didn't know it was from them until I read the fine print!
