The Charleston area has a ton of historical tourism. Downtown Charleston and the plantations are really owrth a visit. Guided tours of the plantations and hores carriage tours of downtown are things to check out!

And if you like a good party town, Myrtle Beach is great during the summer...

Can't speak too much about the rest of the state but down here in the low country especially the Charleston area, the area is rich in the history of the United States. After visiting the sites, there are restaurants galore to satisfy any appetite.

There are several reasons to visit the Lowcountry of SC:

Outdoorsman's Paradise - fishing, hunting, golf, kayaking, sailing, stand up paddleboarding, surfing, are all available and there are outfitters who will guide, teach, or just rent you the equipment. Charleston hosts the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition in February

Tennis - Charleston was recently named the #1 tennis town in the US by the USTA. We have tennis centers everywhere and most will let you use equipment.

Food - the lowcountry has some great restaurants.

Culture - plays, shows, and symphony. Charleston hosts Spoleto in March or April.

Historical Tourism - Plantation, mansions, carriage rides, ghost tours, Revolutionary War and Civil War battle sites, whatever you want you can find it here.

Beaches - The crazy non-stop excitement of Myrtle Beach to the laid back quiet of Edisto Beach.
