When is the best time to visit?

Thinking of planning a trip to Florence , when should I do so?

Florence is pretty much the same year round. There are a few festivals, events, parks, and a historic site or two. If you want to check out the outdoor stuff I'd say spring or fall.

The Pecan Festival was just last weekend, good southern food and music on 5 or 6 stages.

SC really shines all over in Spring and Summer, but you can't beat the mountains in the Fall.

The best time to visit depends on what you want to do. I personally prefer the spring time. In the low country, the azaleas are blooming and festivals abound everywhere. Unfortunately the spring seems not to last very long. It seems to go from winter to summer way too quickly.
