I just saw a commercial for whole hog tonight, I intend to try it soon. I had been told that he old red fifthwheel set up next to hwy 60 east of town a ways was great but I found it lacking

the absolute best BBQ was a guy that used to set up at a gas station in Norwood on Thursdays. hands down the best I have had other than in Texas and maybe as good as that! I don't see him anymore , I miss him, I used to buy whole briskets from him. He had his own sauce too that was great.

I love BBQ! The only place I have been in Springfield is Buckinghams and was not inpressed. I quess I got spoiled with the bbq places in my travels.

I like most of Bandana's food. Maybe that is just because I work there though. Either way, the pork is pretty good as well as the ribs.

Sweet water bbq in dixon, MO is cheap and the food is excellent. i realize it is not in springfield but it is worth checking out. it is not a fancy restaurant but it isnt dirty either.

i just tried St. George's at Battlefield and National, and must say they may have the best ribs I have had in quite a while, the ham was very tasty also, the potato salad was good also.
