Schlafly for sure & love their food at Bottleworks.

I also enjoy having a beer out at Augusta Brewery on a nice day.

Trailhead (St. Charles)

Schlafly is definitely good when I run out of my home brew, but what about Trailhead in old town St. Charles?

I would suggest Schlafley's. I used to work down the street from The Tap Room downtown. It's a great place for lunch too.

I went to Trailhead once for lunch on travel, and wasn't able to have a brew. Is it worth it, should I return for an evening venture?

Trialhead is OK but not really in the same league as Schlafly or O'Fallon. My wife liked thier beers and she isn't a beer drinker if that gives any idea.

It may not be in St Louis, but its close. Crown Valley Brewery and their Plowboy Porter have my vote!

Any microbrew is good if you ask me. If you ever make it down to the St. Gen wineries be sure to check out Charelville. They have a great micro brewery there.
