Nice for you, too dry & dead for me. I'm used to Minnesota forests, Penn's Woods and green living stuff. I really only detoured to visit Yellowstone because NDAK & W. Montana were depressing me.

Ya'll take good care of those beautiful cacti.

We have other stuff, like a beach, a really long nice one. It's pretty popular too.

The cacti are pretty cool, I'm not going to lie.

Yes it is nice for me, although I do crave other climates. Dry yes, well for the most part, I think if you go East and get along the coast they get some of that wet stuff. We don't like to call it dead but dormant, and we out West have a long dormant season. LOL

I had quite the collection, some over 6 feet. Then I tried moving them myself in my van. Sudden stops became a prickly point. I'm switching to succulents.

If your beach is like Biloxi's I'll grant it's beautiful but your Governor wants to drill offshore. This from the folks that gave us the Houston Ship Canal fire?

And we has beaches too...

Jon, Binny is "dormant". He will be reborn as a truffle who's karma it is to be rooted up by a hungry hog.

My curiosity would be delighted to learn and understand the more bizarre of your fauna. Some of it could be straight from the SciFi writer, Harry Harrison's "Deathworld".

Also, John, I should point out the correlation between "dormant" in parts of the Midwest and out West here where I live is minimal at best.

I humbly admit that you can't beat the "Inland Empire!"
