The Big Mac/Daniel Carter Beard Bridge between downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky reopened on Sunday, Jan. 9. As you may recall, the southbound lanes of the bridge were set on fire and collapsed in November. I saw the traffic backups because of the closing only once, fortunately, heading west on US 50/Columbia Parkway, with the huge amount of traffic going east to get on Interstate 275 to get into Kentucky, a 20-mile trip one way. What a mess!
The repairs took less time than expected. Here is an article about the reopening.

The one detail that really surprised me was that the bridge was owned by Cincinnati and Ohio. Technically, the Ohio River is owned by Kentucky (don't ask) and I figured the bridges spanning it was also owned by Kentucky.
