Rhino Pub used to have good brews, not sure if they do now after they bought back Gooch's Grill. Gentle Ben's was good too, but they no longer brew on site.

Their stuff is brewed at Barrio. Personally, I don't think their beer is as good as Nimbus's but a lot of people like it.
oh ya.. Forgot about them. I had a red ale made by them that was surprisingly served at a peter pipers pizza. It was fairly tasty. I do enjoy the nimbus old monkey shine, and BJ's seasonal wit beer better though.
I'd have to agree of all the brew pubs out here I think thunder canyon is my favorite in both food and beer. I really enjoyed their porter the last time I was there. It's been awhile for me though since they're so far from my side of the town.
My favorite in Tucson is Nimbus. Barrio is real good too. Thunder Canyon is closest to where I stay when I'm down there, so I usually go there. Still good, not complaining.
I like the local breweries ok, but haven't been super impressed with their stuff overal. I'd rather drink what I brew at home.
But if you are looking for some hard to find craft brews, you gotta check out Plaza Liquors @ Campbell & Glenn, you'll feel like you are in beer disneyland!
Plaza Liquors seconded. Also Beer Wine on Oracle and Limberlost, Bevmo, and the Beverage House on the eastside (Broadway and Pantano) have a decent selection.
Fine craft brews? My house out in Vail is good for that Seriously though Thunder Canyon is probably the best in town. Nimbus can be good (the food at their Tanque Verde location is good) but lots of people complain about their consistency. Ben's is my old favorite from years at the U of A. BJ's is fine, but it isn't local so I feel strange recommending it.
