Maps
Does anyone know where I can download trial maps onto my GPS without spending an arm and a leg?

Do you have a Garmin? Check out this website, lots of maps including the AZ topo maps. Also has tutorials on how to load them. Not sure if you saw my laptop, but I have all of AZ topo's downloaded onto it and have a gps puck that will overlay your position onto the map. Bad thing about even a small laptop is size and mounting.

If you have a Magellan (And I pity you if you do) then go here.
Maps 4 Me - Free Maps for Magellan GPS - Home
They used to be free, but he charges $7 now, but you get unlimited downloads.
Or you could get them from someone that already downloaded them... ..

What I meant was. Mine has a bread crumb feature. I just turn it on and drive the trail and then save it. I don't know if yours has that feature or not.

Chris has one of the street gpsr's, not a handheld. I don't think those have the breadcrumb feature.

Mines an older model Lowrance XOG. Could be a handheld I guess but I just use it off road.
