I have a friend who wants to bring his Toy. Should be ok, he's not a wheeler but takes it to the pinacates. Am I an idgit to think of starting early and going over reddington and waiting for you guys in Mammoth. I live by the U and think its about the same distance, and i do hate pavement so.....not to mention all those lights in oro valley...
i like that drive back through redington to get to the north of the catalinas.
but i wouldn't bet on it saving time, just being a ton more fun.
Yeah, looking at the map, going over Redington is definitely not the most efficient way of getting there. I'll most likely be sticking to the pavement.
You have a time in mind for when to meet up at the Valero?
Gotta work out the time with RandyD since he has to drive all the way from Nogales. But I would venture to say no earlier than 0700 and no later than 0800.

Going to have to leave much earlier. Milage might be tthe same, but road is a bit slower going through Redington...
Reddington might not be a great idea. It takes forever to get all the way through. It looks like my wife is probably out but I'm pretty sure the dogs and I will still go.

Sounds about rigght, unless you think we need to go sooner. It's a lot farther with more people.
