Homebrewers in Vancouver

Any Vancouver homebrewers on city profile yet? What are you brewin? Drinkin?

Been meaning to check into this, I have several friends who make some great homebrew.

The Vancouver home brewer's group is Plato Republic, and we meet at Steve Bader's brewer's supply store (Bader's Brewing & Winery), just south of Mill Plain on Grand Avenue, when we're not at one of the member's homes for a party or visiting a regional brewpub to partake of the brewer's expertise (and product).

I've just bottled a Mesquite Honey Rye and a Black Rye Ale; about to tackle a Czech Pilsner for my son's wedding (and this makes me a bit nervous)...

Have a Kolsch aging and a Scottish 80 on tap with a Rye CDA.

I've got a Hefeweizen and a Pale Ale fermenting right now. Excited to drink them as they're my first all grains!

P.S. I've been meaning to find out more about Plato. I joined on Yahoo Groups but is there a good meeting for new comers to come to?

Plato Republic usually meets at Bader Brewing Supply/Winery on the second Wed. of the month. Drop in for the Jan. meeting! I'd recommend that you call the store before to confirm that we're meeting there and not doing a field trip to a brewpub.
