Love Your dog? Why is He/She so special?

Anyone who has ever met me, knows within seconds that I am in deep love with Charlie, my Golden retriever pal. They also know that I french kiss him without shame! he is the best living thing on this planet and I would happily give him one of my lungs if it would provide him five minutes of comfort in his time of need. yea, I know its over the edge but I wonder.... am I the only one who loves his dog this much? What kind of dog do you have and how special is he/she to you?

She is smart loving and if you look at the bottom picture she even smiles for pictures. She is half Lab and half Boston Terrier.
