ten years ago when I re-did our D.C. town house, finding plumbing fixtures
beautiful lighting, hardwood flooring, top line stuff was labour intensive.
Now much of this is right here at L--we's and H--D--t. Hard Wood floors
online. Good stuff.

While they do sell everything you need, spending a little extra time will find much higher quality products at comparable prices.

Remember that a lot of the pre WW II housing stuff is now back in vogue since many of us aging Baby Boomers want to recreate what our grandparents had 30-50 years ago since for many of us (myself included) that was a 'safe' time.
