Most year's on the last weekend of September or so
Eastern Washington Adventures has a run at Moses Lake Sand Dunes before the Yellow Zone closes. The weather is cooler than the summer months and the "Yellow Zone" that closes October 1st. makes the adventure a lot more fun.
This year
Eastern Washington Adventures members started pulling into camp on Thursday September 27, 2012. The camp was in the gravel pit at the end of Potato Hill Road. I pulled in just as it was getting dark.
On Friday we did a few runs out on the Moses Lake Sand Dunes and played around the Pothole Reservoir. A few more showed up to camp that night.
Saturday a lot more people showed up for our main run. We did a few runs during the day and had a potluck around the propane fire pits that evening.
On Sunday we had another run before leaving for home.
This weekend was a blast thanks to all who came.
