I almost forgot...

Food and Friends in Lewisburg. Make a reservation if it's for dinner on a weekend or during the warmer months. This place is awesome!

Second (or third...) Pies and Pints in Fayetteville. Also enjoy Smokies on the Gorge; it's become a tradition on Mothers day

Drove through Parkersburg over the weekend. G&W Rootbeer is no longer. It is now the Corner Cafe.

I grew up in southern WV and now live in Texas, but when I do get a chance to go back is to go to the Longhorn Steakhouse in Charleston when I fly in and also to go to Morrison's in Logan for the best hot dogs in the world.

You should also go to "Rudy's Corner Grill" in Ronceverte while in the Lewisburg/Ronceverte/White Sulphur Springs Area (Highways:US-219{Seneca Trail} and US-60 {Midland Trail}.......from Exit 169, Interstate I-64...Lewisburg, WV

Ronceverte, WV - The Friendly River City - Official Site - Business & Commerce

The "General Lewis Inn and Resturant" in Lewisburg is also a great place to dine and have a small "Civil War Museum" adjacent to the dining area.

And, so you don't miss any of the dining facilities in the area, you can peruse this list:

And, another and, if you're a "big spender" you can always dine at the "World Famous" "THE GREENBRIER" in White Sulphur Springs. They have a "Chef's" school there along with a new "Gambling Casino", probably that outclasses "Las Vegas" and for use by Guests only (at this time).

Be sure to check "The Interactive Map" to view the expanse of "THE GREENBRIER HOTEL & RESORT"

So, West Virginia, has it all......scenery, mountains, valleys, rivers, skiing, fishing, hunting, golf, white water rafting and world class dining and the "Hatfield/McCoy" ATV trail, just to mention a few.
